DESCRIZIONE DEI CONTENUTI:

The paper deals with the description of the methodology of problem solving that has for a long time been the object of reflection in pedagogy and psychology As we know the World Health Organization (OMS) (1993) states the ability to resolve problems among skills for life that are necessary to teach young people, they are among the "abilities and competences that are necessary to learn to connect with others and to face the problems, the pressure and the stress of daily life". It refers to Dewey in particular for whom Problem Solving has assumed the style of investigation and discovery that not only concerns the sciences, but more generally any kind of learning. The gestalt notion of insight or that of learning for discovery (Bruner) specifically fits this vision

COMMENTO SULLA PUBBLICAZIONE:

The importance of the paper is linked to the reflection on metaknowledge and particularly to an important key competence for permanent learning, as underlined in the Guidelines of the European Parliament and Council of December 18th 2006, that is to learn to learn.
It becomes indeed a competence of crucial importance to live in today’s society.
The speed of the growth of knowledge and the rapid obsolescence to which it is accordingly submitted requires a continuous learning of the subject in comparison to which the ability to autonomously learn is an essential device.
