The Act no. 170/2010, namely "New rules on specific learning disabilities at school" plugs a legislative gap.
The Act has been passed last October and it guarantees the right to receive a training and the support for students with specific learning disabilities.
The volume analyses the various and complex problems associated with the learning disabilities, as well as it highlights the need to carry out screening actions and the importance of the relationship between teachers and students with learning disabilities.
The volume describes also the projects and actions carried out by the Ministry of Education in the last years. A specific focus is on the experiences carried out in Puglia Region in order to provide concrete examples on a real school inclusion.
Finally it analyses the evolution of the law concerning learning disabilities.

COMMENTO SULLA PUBBLICAZIONE:

The volume is part of a wider strategy and represents a further contribution to the training of teachers who should hold specific competences to work with students having learning disabilities.

Stay@School at the Future of Education Conference

The Stay@School projet will be presented at the third edition of the “Future of Education” international conference, held in Florence, Italy, on 13 - 14 June 2013. Over 250 participants from all over the world will attend the conference. The conference participants belong to the sectors of higher education, school education, vocational education and training as well as adult education, therefore representing all of the target groups of the Stay@School project.
