DESCRIZIONE DEI CONTENUTI:

Why the school can not satisfy the socio-cultural differences and continues to act equally between unequal, rather than promoting diversity, pluralism and give more to those who need it most? The intent of this volume is to offer a contribution to the reflection on the many educational issues made in the field today (equity, intercultural education, language education, social inclusion, human development), issues and problems are all closely connected and related to the wide phenomenon early school leaving and, therefore, an educational system that still can not unequal to design and implement, for real, the promotion of each. All this at a time when the role itself (and dignity) of the Italian state school is put in serious discussion and placed under attack. The vision that inspires the different contributions in the volume goes in the opposite direction, in the direction of those who believe in a society and in a public school more than free, fair, and capable of change, indeed, the fate of the individual and social person.

COMMENTO SULLA PUBBLICAZIONE:

The path to the study and understanding of different issues is indicated by the editor of the book, Guido Welcome, through reflection on a possible approach of social pedagogy in contrast with the dispersive phenomena. The perspective is that of a school that is yes to all, but it can be thought of as if all are equal and thus must be "unequal" to compensate for the differences. The numerous contributions subsequent follow in the footsteps.
