The Common Assessment Framework aims to identify, at the earliest opportunity, a child's or young person's additional needs which are not being met by the universal services they are receiving, and provide timely and co-ordinated support to meet those needs.
The web site provides the background to the scheme and useful information for practitioners.
The web site has quite a lot of useful information as well as a number of fact sheets on such topics as Lead Professionals and schools; Common Assessment Framework and Schools; Multi-agency Working; Information sharing guidance; etc
