English
The Act no. 170/2010, namely "New rules on specific learning disabilities at school" plugs a legislative gap.
The Act has been passed last October and it guarantees the right to receive a training and the support for students with specific learning disabilities.
The volume analyses the various and complex problems associated with the learning disabilities, as well as it highlights the need to carry out screening actions and the importance of the relationship between teachers and students with learning disabilities.
The volume describes also the projects and actions carried out by the Ministry of Education in the last years. A specific focus is on the experiences carried out in Puglia Region in order to provide concrete examples on a real school inclusion.
Finally it analyses the evolution of the law concerning learning disabilities.
The volume is part of a wider strategy and represents a further contribution to the training of teachers who should hold specific competences to work with students having learning disabilities.
