In the knowledge society, as the current one comes to the fore the concept of fairness, which implies the ability to identify inequalities just and unjust, in order to achieve a better distribution of knowledge, to resist the ongoing privatization of knowledge and contribute to the construction of a just society.
The volume presents a series of research that explores the issue of measurement and evaluation of the degree of equity of educational systems in various ways: by size macro to the micro, comparative European survey on the national, correlating factors extracurricular (sociological and economic) and internal factors to the school.

Stay@School at the Future of Education Conference

The Stay@School projet will be presented at the third edition of the “Future of Education” international conference, held in Florence, Italy, on 13 - 14 June 2013. Over 250 participants from all over the world will attend the conference. The conference participants belong to the sectors of higher education, school education, vocational education and training as well as adult education, therefore representing all of the target groups of the Stay@School project.
