Description of activities carried out:
-internet research of information about the national situation with regard to school drop out and absenteeism;
-literature research of information about the national situation with regard to school drop out and absenteeism;
-internet research of information about the national, federal and local institutions, strategies and activities with regard to school drop out and absenteeism;
-literature research of information about the national, federal and local institutions, strategies and activities with regard to school drop out and absenteeism;
-contacting National Agency;
-time planning (time table with deadlines; administration)
-recruiting the national work group;
-working on interview questions;
- exchange with national work group;
- preparing organisation of interviews;
- working on interview questions;
- translating interview questions;
- adopting questions for “positive examples”;
- giving feedback to the School Inclusion internet contents proposed by CIPAT;
- talking to head masters, school social workers, national work group to recruit interview partners for case studies;
- coordinating and carrying out interviews with pupils, parents, teachers, head masters, public education authorities;
- translating and summarizing interviews;
- research of documents regarding the national situation in case of school drop out and absenteeism and trainings to prevent and deal with the problem;
- review and upload of 30 documents;
- feedback on Italian version and English revision of the Transnational Report;
- translation of Transnational Report;
- translation of National Report;







Outcomes:
- National work group with 24 experts from research and practice within the field of school absenteeism could be installed.
- 5 case studies on early school leaving were carried out.
- Interviews with head masters and public education authorities were carried out.
- National report on early school leaving issues in Germany was written.
- Transnational report was checked for the German part. Feedback was given to the report coordinator.
- Transnational Report was translated into German.
- National Report was translated into German.


Evaluation of the work undertaken:
Process evaluation:
- Positive feedback from the members of the work group;
- Positive feedback regarding the subject and the project from head masters, teachers, school social workers, public authorities;

Outcome evaluation:
- Positive outcome since the activities from WP 1 were finished successfully in time.
