- Carrying out interviews for the case studies

Description of activities carried out:
- Internet exploration of the Irish position regarding early school leavers
- Identification and analysis of relevant publications, studies and research in the field at national and regional level
- Research and purchase of suitable recording resources for interviews
- Adaptation of questions for the Irish context
- Investigation of appropriate schools for interviews
- Communication with schools, public officers and relevant youth services
- Interview appointments arranged
- Interviews carried out using common format questions
- Collation of interviews

Outcomes:
- Plentiful information sourced in relation to the issue in Ireland

- Analysis and review of some of the publications and research
Literature review carried out on 12 articles
