Cet article développe deux approches pour le traitement du décrochage scolaire.
Approche scolaire
Si l’école peut générer de l’exclusion, elle peut aussi cultiver des facteurs de protection : relations de soutien, d’empathie, d’accompagnement individualisé, … qui peuvent faciliter l’accrochage scolaire de jeunes à risque.
Les auteurs illustrent cette approche en décrivant des structures qui permettent aux élèves en difficulté de sortir (pour des périodes plus ou moins courtes) d’un environnement scolaire avec lequel ils entretiennent des interactions problématiques, pour les amener à se reconstruire dans des lieux qui offrent des possibilités de réinvestissement affectif et cognitif.
Approche communautaire
Elle se développe depuis une quinzaine d’années. Elle mobilise un ensemble très large d’acteurs de toutes les sphères de la société.
Les auteurs illustrent cette approche à travers la recherche menée en Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles, qui vise la mise en place d’un dispositif de concertation intersectorielle de lutte contre le décrochage scolaire.

COMMENTO SULLA PUBBLICAZIONE:

Cet article avance quelques propositions pour une approche qualité dans la mise en place de nouvelles alliances éducatives incorporant les approches scolaire et communautaire.

Stay@School at the Future of Education Conference

The Stay@School projet will be presented at the third edition of the “Future of Education” international conference, held in Florence, Italy, on 13 - 14 June 2013. Over 250 participants from all over the world will attend the conference. The conference participants belong to the sectors of higher education, school education, vocational education and training as well as adult education, therefore representing all of the target groups of the Stay@School project.
