La Comisión Europea ha decidido poner en marcha un plan de emergencia contra el abandono escolar con el fin de ayudar a los Estados miembros para lograr el principal objetivo de Europa 2020 de reducir el mismo por debajo del 10%.
Con el fin de luchar contra el abandono de la escuela, la Comisión está promoviendo un tipo de enfoque que toma en cuenta los aspectos económicos, sociales y laborales en lugar de sólo una dimensión educativa. En esta perspectiva, el papel de la escuela se ve en un contexto más amplio, con un mayor énfasis en las capacidades educativas básicas directamente relacionadas con su futura calificación.

[email protected] at the Future of Education Conference
The [email protected] projet will be presented at the third edition of the “Future of Education” international conference, held in Florence, Italy, on 13 - 14 June 2013. Over 250 participants from all over the world will attend the conference. The conference participants belong to the sectors of higher education, school education, vocational education and training as well as adult education, therefore representing all of the target groups of the [email protected] project.
