he term bullying, bullying English, is used to label the attitudes of repeated bullying and harassment in schools, which is faced by the most vulnerable children. Bullying has always existed, even if ignored or underestimated, but for some time talked about much, perhaps because it was discovered by the media and as a result he had a new "visibility". One has the impression, not verifiable due to lack of data referring to the past, to an increase in cases.
But phenomenology of bullying is also differentiating from the qualitative point of view: the conduct prevaricanti are present and spread a little 'everywhere and, like any other social fact, their nature changes and evolves, presenting with a variety of forms some of which previously unimaginable as the persecution of the victims taken with camera phone or via the Internet and bullying women. They seem to be an expression of a "new hardship", influenced by the current living conditions, induced by the media, encouraged by the evolution of family patterns and the presence of parents and teachers who are abdicating their regulatory role.
Acknowledged by everyone damages of bullying behaviors on mental health not only victims, but also on the same bullies, whose behavior bullying lead more and more frequently in serious crimes against the person. It is imperative, therefore, that the company is questioning the reasons for this violence. What is the role of the adults involved in the problem? Parents, educators, service and judges are prepared and alert to combat the problem in the family, at school, in the context of the community and, if necessary, in the courts?
The debate on these issues is becoming articulate and passionate, involving judges, teachers, doctors, psychologists, sociologists and researchers.
This exciting book for the first time collects and compares wide-ranging approaches, analyzes and proposals of the major scholars who have dealt with it in Italy.

Stay@School at the Future of Education Conference
The Stay@School projet will be presented at the third edition of the “Future of Education” international conference, held in Florence, Italy, on 13 - 14 June 2013. Over 250 participants from all over the world will attend the conference. The conference participants belong to the sectors of higher education, school education, vocational education and training as well as adult education, therefore representing all of the target groups of the Stay@School project.
