This study aims at generally the one hand, students at risk of school failure and, secondly, to identify and prioritize the factors that explain the purpose of making contributions that may be taken mind when making an educational policy aimed at reducing the incidence.

Among the specific objectives of the study include the following:
1) The conceptual approach to school failure
2) The analysis of the main characteristics of students at risk
3) The analysis and prioritization of factors that explain the risk of academic failure in secondary school, individual, social and institutional
4) The description of the individual and social consequences of school failure
5) The analysis of the main trends of public policies in education, and good educational practices

COMMENTS ON THIS PUBLICATION:

Well documented and thorough analysis on the situations of school failure, micro and macro factors that cause, and thoughts of where they should go for solutions.

Stay@School at the Future of Education Conference

The Stay@School projet will be presented at the third edition of the “Future of Education” international conference, held in Florence, Italy, on 13 - 14 June 2013. Over 250 participants from all over the world will attend the conference. The conference participants belong to the sectors of higher education, school education, vocational education and training as well as adult education, therefore representing all of the target groups of the Stay@School project.
