International studies show that good leadership is a key determinant of the quality of education and within all internal school factors, after the work of teachers in the classroom, management leadership is the second factor that contribute to what students learn, explaining about 25 percent of all school supplies. Transition from a bureaucratic to another educational leadership, and strategic distributed, is a complex but urgent, while a great challenge for our educational system, since in 2020 new knowledge, new actors, new social demands have changed substantially the educational horizon

COMMENTS ON THIS PUBLICATION:

The creative response to these multiple demands requires transformational leadership in our schools and our education system. This volume seeks to address the leadership for learning: a direction that it focuses on the quality of education offered and learning outcomes achieved by students.

Stay@School at the Future of Education Conference

The Stay@School projet will be presented at the third edition of the “Future of Education” international conference, held in Florence, Italy, on 13 - 14 June 2013. Over 250 participants from all over the world will attend the conference. The conference participants belong to the sectors of higher education, school education, vocational education and training as well as adult education, therefore representing all of the target groups of the Stay@School project.
