The school needs to change is also an important statement to be proposed at a time like this when, in the space of two years, we have discussed two proposals for reform of the Italian school system without any of the two crabs changed in the daily practice of the school. The authors define the school, among other things as a crossroads of participation, because it is the occasion in which different generations can share their views on educating today and at the same time it is the place in which they occur adult learning experiences. The school is the main, if not the only place where you can groped to construct an ethic alternative to the competition and unbridled individualism, as well as a positive and conscious with the territory and the environment. Therefore, schools can no longer remain closed and self-sufficient entities. This opening must be measured on a cultural project that first of all it must be built within the school. And 'This is the way teacher-authors say-if representatives know how to be part of this process, work because they have value for parents and teachers, or become empty simulacra.
This book will just be a reflection useful to those teachers who have not renounced to change and the dream of a better school. The authors remind us that good educational relationship remains the compass of every good school for every good company. Of course in today's society, things are complicated by the fact that there is a widespread situation of loss of adult responsibility, so for our kids is always more complicated to identify and differentiate. The new educational tasks bring with them an inevitable uncertainty that the teacher must be able to support.
