Il libro affronta il grande tema della scuola dal punto di vista degli alunni. In verità dicendo "alunni" si dice qualcosa di troppo vago: qui è in gioco il punto di vista dei "somari", di quelli che vanno male a scuola. Pennac, ex somaro lui stesso, studia questa figura popolare e ampiamente diffusa dandole nobiltà, restituendole anche il peso d'angoscia e di dolore che le appartiene. Ma Diario di scuola è anche il racconto della sua esperienza di insegnante: come dire dal banco alla cattedra e ritorno.Nel rovistare nel “mal di scuola” si mescolano ricordi autobiografici e riflessioni sulla pedagogia.
Una lettura consigliata ai docenti ed agli educatori poichè Pennac, con la solita verve, ma con una furiosa dolcezza, tra riflessioni ed affondi teorici, colloca la nozione di amore al centro della relazione pedagogica

Stay@School at the Future of Education Conference
The Stay@School projet will be presented at the third edition of the “Future of Education” international conference, held in Florence, Italy, on 13 - 14 June 2013. Over 250 participants from all over the world will attend the conference. The conference participants belong to the sectors of higher education, school education, vocational education and training as well as adult education, therefore representing all of the target groups of the Stay@School project.
