Description of the organization

Mayo Education Centre, responsible for 193 Primary Schools and 28 Post primary Schools. Art Ó Súilleabháin is the new Director, appointed in November 2007. Mayo Education Centre aims to empower the local School Community and influence positively its quality of life in and for a changing world. It will achieve this aim by providing Support, Resources, Training and Opportunities for Personal and Professional Development, for all concerned. Mayo Centre provides training, development and support for teachers and the wider school community in the Mayo area and also through involvement in national inservice programmes.

Stay@School at the Future of Education Conference

The Stay@School projet will be presented at the third edition of the “Future of Education” international conference, held in Florence, Italy, on 13 - 14 June 2013. Over 250 participants from all over the world will attend the conference. The conference participants belong to the sectors of higher education, school education, vocational education and training as well as adult education, therefore representing all of the target groups of the Stay@School project.
