Low grades and high percentage of suspended is very common among student of the first year of High School.
The article talks about an action research project which aims to analyses discontinuities in the transition from primary to secondary school in relation to methodology classroom, relationships with teachers or the type of assessment. The solution would be developing an integrated curriculum focused on a more global teaching approach with less subjects, teachers and fragmentary knowledge. A curriculum which aims to develop a more critical thinking and the ability to connect new knowledge to everyday life.
