The work identifies the various factors behind the drop-out and the characteristics of the young who drop out.

It examines the consequences of drop-out for the development of the young, on their school career as well as their career development.

It addresses prevention measures to be implemented.

It points to the role of politicians and the implementation of legal mechanisms to fight drop-out (e.g., "School Reintegration Services").

This report is the result of a practice work asked to students:
mastering a question concerning the organization of education systems within
Wallonia-Brussels Federation.

The students organized a roundtable on the theme of "drop-out".
Various actors in the education system (politicians, teachers, principals) were invited to discuss.
The report summarizes the discussions.

Stay@School at the Future of Education Conference

The Stay@School projet will be presented at the third edition of the “Future of Education” international conference, held in Florence, Italy, on 13 - 14 June 2013. Over 250 participants from all over the world will attend the conference. The conference participants belong to the sectors of higher education, school education, vocational education and training as well as adult education, therefore representing all of the target groups of the Stay@School project.
