In the first part of this book, the authors address in a general way the theme of measuring and assessing of learning: what it means to control students’ learning, and what can be the use of such an operation; the relationship between control of students’ learning and educational research, planning, guidance and selection; which ideological contexts can influence assessment; different ways to asses and their influence on educational chioces; the technical tools which are needed to ensure a correct functioning of educational control.
In the second part, experts in different subject-matters taught in secondary schools address in a practical way, from their different points of view, the issue of learning measurement and assessment, with examples of specific lesson plans.

Stay@School at the Future of Education Conference

The Stay@School projet will be presented at the third edition of the “Future of Education” international conference, held in Florence, Italy, on 13 - 14 June 2013. Over 250 participants from all over the world will attend the conference. The conference participants belong to the sectors of higher education, school education, vocational education and training as well as adult education, therefore representing all of the target groups of the Stay@School project.
