In the field, school drop-out assumes different and highly subjective aspects. This is a complex phenomenon which can have serious consequences for both school leavers and society as a whole. It affects more and more young people in many European countries.
The work is dedicated to this issue. It presents a crossed, interdisciplinary and transversal analysis of drop-out.
It incorporates the contributions of many actors, to provide the necessary tools for a better understanding of drop-out and to highlight the possible ways of action.
It's about understanding the phenomenon to act in favour of school reintegration.
This work was performed on the basis of interventions, debates and discussions which emerged during the seminar "Drop-out: what solutions?" organized on March 16, 2007, by the association.
It examines the problem of drop-out by exploring its implications for school and society. It includes many testimonials which relate the experience of actors in the field.
